I first got to know Kieran O'Connor, now partner of Cambridge Tax Practice when we both worked for a well known Australian multi national - Kieran in the UK and myself in Ghana, West Africa in 1990. That same year I led a management buy-out of a subsidiary of that same Australian company's African subsidiaries. In 1995 Kieran struck out on his own forming Cambridge Tax Practice and from that day to this he has acted as tax advisor to my wife and myself as well as to the company we bought out. I am a conservative person, unwilling to take risks when it comes to tax matters, and as such Kieran's philosophy and mine were of one accord.
